Saturday morning gallop

A couple of lots this morning, Callum was up for the weekend (he's riding at Carlisle for us tomorrow), so we gave Ryan an easy day today in terms of work riding (who are we kidding, thanks Ryan for 'clipping' several horses this morning).

Over the course of the 2 gallops, we had several who did two spins on the 'Up the Middle' woodchip.

Sunday afternoon at Carlisle

There's a BHA initiative this season where on selected days, trainers are given the opportunity to vote for a race type to be staged. Carlisle has one of those tomorrow (a 3m 1f 0-105 handicap hurdle), well two really as the entries were so popular that the race has two divisions.

Mmmnn - says a lot, doesn't it?

We think so too, and we've got a horse in each division. Hartforth is fit and fancied, and goes in the first of the two races. Mini the Minx is fit and err....goes in the second of the two divisions where the top weight is Hartforth's Ayr victor Amore Mio who will be hard to beat.
