Couple of runners at Musselburgh on Sunday
And both of our runners at the East Lothian seaside track come into these races with a bit to prove after disappointing runs last time. So each are fitted with tongue ties for their respective races.
Musselburgh 18th February : 2.45 pm 3m 0-115 Handicap Hurdle (Class 4)
So Many Roads is first up for Dodlands.
Scobie's Call Me Harry won over c&d in November and went close again
here on New Years Day. Has had his issues in the past but seems in fine
form recently.
However it is a couple who are upped in trip that catch the eye.
McCain's Masked Crusader had previously been chasing following a wind op in
April '22 before a placed effort over timber last time at Catterick.
First effort under rules at 3 miles but he has won an Irish Point,
although pedigree may suggest he's not an obvious stayer.
Thomson's Valleyview Tommy is another recruit from the Irish Point field
(runner up on last of three runs) and comes into this having obtained a
handicap mark on just two novice runs at lesser distances. A likely improver,
he could be thrown in on OR103.
So Many Roads (Number 8)
Musselburgh 18th February : 3.50 pm 2m 4f 0-100 Novices Handicap Hurdle (Class 5)
Just over an hour later Eden Mill has an outing.
Grand National prices available for this race on the day before - 6/1 the field with just 12 runners. Watch out for those market moves then.....
First time blinkers seemed to liven up Wotyoudunnow Buddy last time
at Catterick in what was his best run since his bumper days. Not
guaranteed to follow this up though.
Sanusoke has been in good form for this level and has a first time visor
applied.
But this race is wide open.

We hope our horses can recover their best form.
Craig Nichol rides
both for The Wellfed Boys and TD9 Racing respectively.
Trust that our owners enjoy the day.
