Bonny Houxty runs in the last at Perth on Wednesday

Round about bedtime, Bonny Houxty takes to the track in the 8.10 at Perth on Wednesday, a 0-100 handicap hurdle over just shy of 3 miles. Advance going is good.

Most of the string are either at grass or in the process of winding down but there are a couple - like 'Bonny' - who missed most of the winter so we'll keep going for a couple of weeks yet. We do have a handful of flat horses and youngsters in the yard, so there will be plenty of company on the morning gallops.

Glancing at the overnight betting market, Ollie Murphy's Southern raider World Trip is priced up at around 7-4. Next two in the betting are trained by the Whillans' family as Brother Ali (shortly to be Nephew Ewan) runs Dancing Doug who has threated to win a few times this season and takes a step up in trip here. As does Bonny Houxty and if she is able to show the form of last season, she would be competitive.

But there are a host of others here that have shown the required ability to win this Class 5 handicap - Farocco, African Glory, East Harlem to name just three.

Top weight, so we've called on Theo Gillard to take off the 5lb. Good luck to him and owners Bill & Carol Aitchison.
