Ayr Saturday
Pretty testing conditions will prevail at Ayr on Saturday, which will suit at least one of our runners!
Baby Ticker takes part in
a very competitive 2m 4f handicap hurdle at 3.42.
She's in form, suited by heavy and loves the atmosphere at Ayr so what's
the problem?
Well, its ultra competitive. Top weight and progressive hurdler from
the yard of Brother Ali is Corrieben River is unbeaten in two
hurdling outings. He was a 24 length winner last month, but maybe the
dreaded bounce factor will show itself her again. (Hope not, brotherly
love etc.).
Mayo Star is another lightly raced progressive hurdler while Dorking
Bay, Multellie and Teescomponent Lad are all in form although like our
girl maybe a wee bit exposed these days.
Baby Ticker's young pilot from last time - Theo Gillard - is again in the saddle. Good luck to all.
On to the bumper where we run one of our several unraced 5 year olds.
Regular readers will know that we took
Enemy At The Gate
to Kelso last Sunday for an outing and he makes his debut here at 5.30.
Just six runners but 3 previous winners and a Crawford Bros.' raider so
it has the making of a hot event.
Conor O'Farrell takes the ride on the Fame And Glory gelding in the stable colours and while we had hoped for better ground, fingers crossed for a nice run. Best of luck.
