Sedgefield tomorrow
Ron & Eileen Smith's fine racemare Ellistrin Belle heads off to Sedgefield tomorrow to tackle the same handicap hurdle that she won last year.
She is now rated 4lb higher so in theory faces a stiffer task. We're
not so sure the handicap mark will be an issue, it's more the fact that
she is such a free-going sort that she can often use up so much energy
in the first half of the race that she struggles to get home.
She has been going fine at home, will be suited by the soft going and we know the best time to catch her
is when racing fresh, first outing of the season.
So, we hope things fall right for her.
