Kelso runner on Sunday
If it ever stops raining, we look to run a couple of the string at Kelso tomorrow (Sunday).
Although Bearskin has a flat pedigree (and profile) we bought him at one of the Autumn Horses in Training Sales as a dual purpose horse. Well, he makes his hurdling debut for the stable in the opening novice hurdle over 2 miles. We wouldn't imagine heavy ground would be his ideal conditions, but he's ready for a run and it'll be soft almost anywhere for a few weeks. Either way, his hurdling future will be in handicaps, so we'll see how he goes here.

At the tail of the card, Tomahawk Wood runs in the 2m 6½f novice handicap hurdle. He is suited by testing conditions but is possibly a little high in the handicap for what he has achieved. He also needs to learn to settle a bit better than of late, but he is a horse we like a lot, so we hope he enjoys the outing.
