Runners at Carlisle tomorrow

Despite the drastic weather conditions during the course of the last week which hit the town of Carlisle very hard, tomorrow's meeting at the Cumbrian venue goes ahead. Heavy going.

Hartforth runs in the 3m 1f Pertemps Hurdle qualifier, and carries a nice weight for a horse of his size (he is not overbig) of 10st 6lb. Can't imagine that you would ever get an 'easy' race in such a valuable qualifying series, and tomorrow is no exception. There are 4 horses who collectively have won 9 of their last 10 races, and throw in Grand National and Cleeve Hurdle winners and you get the gist.

Callum will keep Hartforth prominent but probably Knockara Beau will lead. Just hope the ground is not too testing.

Baby Sticker makes her debut in the closing bumper with 4 rivals to face. These include a couple of Irish Point winners, and a bumper placed filly from Lucinda's yard. We think a lot of our mare but she does face rivals with both racecourse experience and promising form.
