Snapping Turtle tries again

I guess you realise that the official end of the jumps season (Sandown on Saturday) is nigh on upon us when there is an evening jumps fixture at Sedgefield, and the Perth Festival is looming.
Well, having run a nothing sort of race at Kelso last week, Snapping Turtle is entered for the staying handicap hurdle at Sedgefield tomorrow evening. He's back on a winning mark, facing soft ground and he's a course and distance winner. Contrary to the class in numbers of last week's 0-120 race at Kelso where there were half a dozen rivals rated OR115 or above, tomorrow sees only one horse on OR120, and the next highest is 110. Maybe there's a good chance that Callum can dictate the pace from the front, and if things fall into place, our gelding may well be bang in there jumping the last.

You can but dream....
