Ellistrin Belle at Sedgefield tomorrow
One horse who will most certainly take her chance this week is Ellistrin Belle at Sedgefield tomorrow.
She faces just 3 rivals in the 2m 1f mares handicap hurdle where the
favourite will be Kim Bailey's Agent Fedora. That horse carries a 7lb
penalty for a victory last Thursday at the stiff Towester track over
slightly further.
That may give our mare an edge, as she is a free travelling sort who we
think will relish the extended 2 mile trip.
She's fit and well, and fingers crossed for a good run.

Later on this week.....
There are 2 or 3 of the string entered, but currently we favour Newcastle on Friday for a couple of them.
Exciting novice Shades of Midnight will start off his hurdling career over 2 miles at Newcastle. Ideally, we'd prefer soft ground (current forecast is good), and we're sure he'll be suited by further in time but he's been jumping well in his schooling at home, so we're hoping this will be a nice introduction and he proves competitive.
Another who must have soft ground is Bollin Julie, who is entered in the 3 mile handicap hurdle. In fine form at home, this would be effectively her seasonal debut, but it is very much ground dependant on whether she runs.
