Couple of runners at Kelso tomorrow
With the incessant rain of today to last well into tomorrow, Kelso's going forecast of good to soft looks optimistic in the extreme. Now, which idiots were praying for rain all week (er, that would be us, actually - ed)?
Ellistrin Belle has been
pleasing us in her morning work, and will come to the fore when
qualified for handicaps. We think she'll be suited by the trip of 2
miles which she encounters tomorrow, and testing ground shouldn't
present a problem.
As for the opposition, well, its more of a case of what might be, as
there is a trio of horses whose bumper form is just short of the best -
Frankie's Promise, Spitz and Irish Point winner Plan Again. Our mare
jumps and travels well, but it's hard to envisage the winner coming
outside of these three.
The Potassium Syndicate will be out in force at Kelso, so enjoy the real thrills of race days, lads and lasses.
Our second runner is another who has been working well in the mornings - Bollin Julie. She's been of the course since running down the field in an Aintree hurdle in May last year, but as she's from a slow maturing family, this is not an issue. However, just how the handicapper came up with a BHA rating of 90 is very much a concern. (If anyone can care to enlighten us on this, please get in touch at the usual address - ed).
