Golden Ticket day for Charlie Bucket

Well, it was worth the wait, wasn't it?

Charlie Bucket has run some fine races in his career without winning. Notably when second to the ill-fated subsequent Cheltenham Festival winner Brindisi Breeze. However, he did lose his form last season, and dropped down the handicap as a result. But today was the day for the 10yr old at Hexham, where after taking up the running 2 out he held on well to win this 3 miler.

We actually thought he might need the race, but he's probably just carrying that little bit more condition as he's getting older.
