Carlisle review

Bollin Fiona jumped well enough at Carlisle yesterday, but was probably slightly outpaced in this Class 4 chase. Losing touch with the leaders at the end of the back straight, she did keep on up the hill to finish in 6th place, but never troubled the principals. She should come on for the run.

Handicap adjustments

Bollin Julie has been dropped a further 5lb by the handicapper and is now on OR78, which is a bit more realistic than the OR90 she started on a few weeks back. This 90 rating must be the fall back option for the handicapper when rating our young hurdlers - that's the rating given to Ellistrin Belle.

Charlie Bucket has been raised 5lb following his win at Hexham, Hartforth up a couple to OR89 for his game second place at Ayr. And finally, Nodda High Kid has been dropped 3 pounds.

Not that much racing for us at our preferred tracks in the North over the next week or so, but we'll be working hard at home with the string in preparation for when the time is right. Saturday morning gallops are always good - come along and see our set up for yourself -  but whether we'll have the likes of Brooke, Challoner and Whillans on show this week is debatable........
