10th November news

Carlisle tomorrow

Our dual winning hurdler Bollin Fiona makes her re-appearance at Carlisle in the opening race, a 3m 2f handicap chase. This is quite a valuable event for a 0-105 Carlisle chase, so we hope our mare is fit enough to do well.

Its well known that Fiona is a stuffy, slightly lazy horse at home but, heck, wouldn't it be boring if all horses were swift, on-the-bit, strong gallopers (er, can we have a think about that one? - ed). She's a course winner, loves soft ground (in fact, she'd think bottomless was a touch on the fast side) but her form is better over hurdles, and she may just need the run.

There, that's all the bases covered.

The main opposition will probably come from Lucinda's runner, don't know which horse it is, but this month's sure-fire betting system is to back every runner from the stable. Ewart's Snuker also makes his re-appearance in this race, and the stable is another in form, and should go close.
