Good luck Sam!
If Ayr passes a morning inspection, Sam Patch will run in the 3m 1f handicap chase, where he should be suited by the testing conditions (i.e. heavy).
It's been great to have Sam back in the stables (he returned in November), as he's such a lovable type who's very popular with the younger lads.
The gelding has been such a consistent performer for most of his racing career, but his form did dip a bit in the Spring of 2013. As for tomorrow, well he's been pleasing us enough in the mornings, but we feel sure he'll need the run, and will improve for the outing.

And later on this week
Bollin Fiona suffered a knock when brought down at Newcastle a couple of weeks ago, so we gave her a little bit of time off to recover. She fit and well once more, and goes at Newcastle again on Wednesday in the 3m conditional jockeys handicap hurdle. Ryan take the ride.
The handicapper has put Hartforth up 12lb for his Musselburgh success, so I guess our hand has been played for us in that we've stepped the gelding up in grade for his next outing at Catterick on Friday. It'll be a competitive event, so we'll see how the dual hurdles winner goes.
