Mini the Minx heads for Kelso on Sunday

Our staying mare, Mini the Minx, is entered in the 3m 3f handicap hurdle at Kelso tomorrow. She'll be suited by the testing condition, trip should suit but as she can be a difficult ride, we've fitted blinkers for the first time.
We think she'll have an each way shout, as she's in fine fettle at home.

Morning gallops

A fine winter's morning - fresh with bright sunshine - welcomed the Saturday morning gallop watchers at Dodlands Steading today.
Horse boxes coming and going continually throughout the morning only added to the atmosphere. Some of the string were in light work and took to the road, and with racing at Kelso (Sunday) and Newcastle (Wednesday) there were a mixture of steady gallops, and final pieces of fast work for the horses who are set to run later on this week.
