Recent results

Not a lot of runners in recent days, but we did have a couple at Carlisle last Sunday.

Mini the Minx was having her first run of the season, and although jumping well, did struggle a bit to keep apace with the main group from a mile out.
In the other division of the stayers' handicap hurdle, Hartforth showed that he remains in fine fettle, when battling back on up the hill to finish second to first-time-in-a-handicap Omid. Maybe he would prefer slightly less cut in the ground, but a good performance nonetheless.

Up and coming

There are a lot more races to suit us over the next week at Hexham on Wednesday, and Newcastle on Thursday.
Our fine chaser, Shadow Boxer is the more likely of our two to go at Hexham. He's entered in the extended 3 mile chase, and he should go well, although he was pulled up on his only previous attempt at course and distance.

As long as the going remains soft at Newcastle, we'll probably run both Bollin Julie and Snapping Turtle in their respective hurdle races. Julie has been coming along steadily at home, and has been dropped onto reasonable mark (OR 75). It'll be Snapping Turtle's seasonal debut and whilst he been working fine at home, the race will probably bring him on.
