Weekend runners
Off to Catterick tomorrow, where our young conditional (Ryan Nichol) is
in the saddle on Bollin Julie
in the staying handicap hurdle. Julie is off 10st and young Ryan has
been on a starvation diet all through Christmas in preparation for this
very race - he can claim 10lb!!
No seriously, Ryan may put up a couple of pounds over, but its a bit of
venture into the unknown for Julie who is tackling a trip beyond 2 miles
(and a furlong) for the first time.
Bollin Julie (Ryan) leads Mini the Minx
A bit closer to home on Sunday at Kelso, where our 'morning glory' Nodda High Kid goes in the 2m 6f handicap hurdle. He does not hold an obvious chance on pure form, but our gelding has plenty of ability and jumps well. We'll see.

And finally.....
Well, best intentions and all, but Mini the Minx was a non runner at Wetherby yesterday. There were several non runners in the race, and on strict line through one of these - Chris Grant's NotOneButTwo, who won at Kelso in January 2013 - our interpretation of the form gives Mini an outstanding chance next time.
