Goodknight Percy runs tomorrow at Wetherby
Having finished distressed on his debut run for the stable at
Newcastle's Fighting Fifth meeting at the end of November, our initial
reaction was that the
Goodknight Percy may have a long-standing issue with breaking blood
vessels.
To counteract this problem - which does affect a fair number of horses -
his training regime has been changed, and he appears quite settled. It's
still with a little trepidation that his owners and ourselves head down
to Wetherby tomorrow for the 2 mile juvenile novices hurdle, though.
Under the circumstances, a trouble free round would be pleasing but Callum will be very aware to look out for any signs of distress from the gelding.
