2nd May news

Snapping Turtle runs at Sedgefield tomorrow

Snapping Turtle missed his intended race at Sedgefield a couple of weeks ago, but has another attempt over the same course and distance (3m 3f) tomorrow.
In the meantime, the handicapper has dropped our gelding another 4lb and so he manages to drop in grade slightly into a 0-100 Class 5 event. Of course he's carrying top weight, but the soft ground will suit and if he gets to lead from the tapes - an uncontested lead would be even better - he'll have a good chance.

Keyboard Gangster a possible in the bumper on Wednesday

It was never the intention to wait this long to give Keyboard Gangster (aka, the Gamut gelding) such a long period in training prior to making a racecourse debut. Through no fault of his own he suffered a physical setback last October which meant several months of box rest.
But, he's taken it all in his stride, and shown his well being over the last few weeks in the morning gallops.

For a Kelso bumper in May, this has all the making of the hottest bumper in Scotland this year should the main protagonists hold their repsective entries. Still, our gelding is ready for a run, so as long as the ground doesn't contain any firm patches, we'll run.
