Hawaii Klass.......

Our yard was a sadder place last week with the passing of Hawaii Klass.

We discovered Hawaii early in the morning in considerable pain, and our vet Sarah was quickly on the scene. However, so critical was his ailment - severe stomach cramps - that he could not be saved.

A huge blow to our yard, not least to owners Scott and Alison.

The 9 year old gelding, winner of 3 races and placed numerous times, had been a resident at Dodlands for the last 6 years ever since his breeder - Allan Gilchrist - first put him into training. He was a lovely character, and had considerable ability over both fences and hurdles.

He'll be sorely missed.
