Hartforth takes his chance at Haydock tomorrow
There are 40 horses entered in total for the 6 races at Haydock tomorrow.
Unfortunately for The Brave Lads partnership, 37.5% of these will line
up for the opening 3 mile handicap hurdle. Yes, that's the race in which
Hartforth will face 14 rivals.
It's a tricky race to assess as many of the field mix hurdles and
chasing showing varying degrees of recent form over each discipline, and
several others (including our fellow) showed progressive form last year
only to run as if the race was needed last time. We'll discount the
summer hurdlers, which leaves....
Jonjo's Milan Bound has a touch of class, and is nicely weighted, and at
the other end of experience Skelton's unexposed novice Storm of Swords
will surely win a race off his current mark soon.
Anyway, Hartforth will be more at home on the soft ground this time, so good luck to all connections!

And finally.....

Apparently former World Heavyweight Boxing champion Mike Tyson has ambitions to further his career by setting his sights on becoming a Shakespearian actor. Mike has completed work in some minor roles for noted directors such as Werner Herzog, and wants to take the leading role in the bard's Othello.
Well, good luck to him, but wouldn't he be better suited to a role as Julius Caesar. I mean, you can envisage the famous speech right now : 'Friends, Romans, Evander Holyfield, lend me your ear.......'.
