The Bollins head for Newcastle today

And in the same race....

Both Bollin Fiona and Bollin Julie run in the 2m 6f handicap hurdle at Newcastle today. Ryan Nichol and Callum ride respectively.

The soft conditions should suit both. This will be Fiona's first run since the end of May, and she will need the race. Julie on the other hand should be able to put in a competitive performance. Having said that, whilst she has plenty of latent ability, she is undoubtedly very quirky.

Another 2nd place at Musselburgh on Thursday

Hartforth is slowly finding his form this season and stayed on into 2nd at Musselburgh on New Year's Day, although in truth was never able to get a blow into the runaway winner Fly Vinnie.
Our gelding was well suited to the soft conditions, jumping well and responding to Callum's urgings from 4 out. We still feel he's a bit high in the handicap at the moment, but what can you do?

This was our third 2nd place in a row (since Snapping Turtle won at the start of December).....
