Easter Saturday runners at Carlisle

We've a couple of runners over hurdles at Carlisle tomorrow, where the advance going is soft (with both good to soft and heavy patches). The hurdles will be over Carlisle's inner (and tighter) course.
First up, and following his fine 4th place in the Grade 2 Premier hurdle at Kelso, is Shades of Midnight. This progressive gelding is upped in trip to 2m 3½f. Shady will have a 6lb penalty for having won a hurdle race already this season, as will the only other winner in the race, Swinbank's Bobs Lord Tara.
There are several runners with bumper experience who are making their hurdling debut in the race, and a few promising sorts among the hurdling maidens, namely Irish raider Definite Soldier and Brother Ali's Glacial Rock.

So, a cracking opener, we're sure Shady will be competitive, and fingers crossed!

And hope the Potassium Partnership lads and lasses enjoy the day!!

What a season Snapping Turtle has been having. And as a reward we've popped him into Class 3 handicap company, in a race worth 10 bags in guaranteed prize money!!
As with Hartforth at Kelso, he's up against it strictly on form but hope he can keep apace and run a good race.

Callum is claimed by Venetia to ride at Haydock, Wilson is suspended, so Peter Buchanan & Dougie Costlello come in for the rides respectively.
